In the modern world, we no longer have the necessity of a "brick and mortar" store to establish a profitable business and create the income that we want. It seems like everyone wants to "give" you a website to operate from and offer to hold your hand through the process of establishing your business. The only problem with this process is what they don't charge you for in the front is more than covered in the add ons that they offer you later!

Over the last 10 years I have tried just about every "free" offer that is available out there, and after pulling out most of my hair and paying out several thousand dollars to these so called "experts" (I think the only things they were experts at was separating me from my money) I began to think that perhaps I had the word sucker stamped on my forehead in indellible ink. After a great deal of searching, I have finally found a place that gives you what they say, and they even let you try it out for free. Of course, they do offer you services and products for a fee after you have registered for your site, but to their credit, the offers are not only genuine, but highly profitable for you when you actually apply them.

I have included 5 key mindsets that are absolutely essential in order to succeed in your internet business in this article, they are;

1. Create content that is "recyclable". When you create your content, make it flexible enough that you can reuse it for other applications. For example, when I was working as the internet marketing manager for one of the largest car dealerships in the world, I would often reuse the same content to market other products that I was handling on my own websites by changing a few words. It makes your efforts far more productive.

2.Record everything! You never know when something that you do may be reutilized in some other way. If you are doing a series of presentations on sales productivity, you may easily be able to sell the recorded version as a home study course or break it down into several e-mail presentations in a series as a sales aid. There are many applications for just about everything, so be open minded about how your products can be presented and marketed. It will pay you very well in the long run.

3. Be sales minded and get your customer into the buying mindset. Remember, we are in business to make money, and while we may offer free promotional items to the customer, if our businesses don't make money, they aren't businesses, they are charities. I don't know about you, but I can't pay my bills with good intentions, so I do have items that are for sale. It's what I do, I sell things! When people go to the grocery store, the doctor, the mechanic, the attorney, etc., they have to pay for their service and products, and our time and effort should be rewarded as well.

4. We live in an instant gratification society, and people will pay for the "get it now" product. For most customers, the convenience of getting it now is why they go to the internet, especially for information products and software. Don't worry that the product is available elsewhere at no cost, many people don't know that it is and they simply don't have the time to invest in looking for it!

5. Build your business with what I call the tree plan. The main product is the trunk of the tree, usually the product that you give to your potential customer as an introductory gift, and the other products that you have available, ranging from very cheap to very expensive, will be the mainstay of your business. Many people are realistic enough to realize that you must invest at least some money into any successful business. I don't care if you are washing windows, you have to invest in glass cleaner and paper towels! Remember that it usually takes at least seven contacts with your prospects to establish a sale, and the rule of sales is quite simple, whether you are selling a program for $29.95 or a luxury car for $50,000.00. If they like you, they listen to you, and they trust you, they will buy from you.

There is no such thing as a place where you can go and establish a business with the efforts of others and not have to do any of the work yourself. In this way, the internet businesses aren't any different from the old fashioned businesses, you will have to work to make it happen. You can advertise all over the internet, and with the internet you have a worldwide market that extends to billions of people, so we now have advantages that our parents and grandparents only dreamed of with their businesses. The results of our efforts in our businesses are multiplied many times from what theirs were because of our expanded market and the comparable ease we have in the day to day operations of these businesses thanks to computers.

We have access to information and services that were only available to the very wealthy as little as thirty years ago, and if you are willing to apply yourself, you can go far with the internet as your vehicle will take you.

5. How long will this take? Results just don't happen overnight. Typically getting ranked for keywords will take from 1 month-1 year

6. Are there any other fees? I charge one time fees until we get the keywords ranked and then monthly maintenance fees. Know your fees upfront!
